This patient had liposuction of her abdomen, flanks (love handles) and back. She was told by many surgeons to undergo a tummy tuck and I even recommended the same. She wanted to avoid it at all costs and only desired liposuction. In her case, she healed beautifully and her skin retracted to create a flat abdomen. She was able to avoid a tummy tuck. Liposuction is less invasive than other plastic surgeries and can dramatically change the shape and contour of one’s body.
