This is a younger gentleman who dislikes the bags under his eyelids. He states it always makes him look tired and old. In a younger patient, the first signs of aging can be seen in the lower eyelid. The lower eyelid fat pockets tend to herniate and create bags. Unfortunately creams and topical treatments cannot address this. This patient does have not other signs of an aging eyelid such as loose skin or lax muscle. The main issue is the fat herniation. With a hidden incision, the fat pockets can be removed to create a smoother and more youthful eyelid. The patient was pleased with his blepharoplasty results.
